Title: Per Diem Substance Abuse Counselor - May turn into Full Time! Location: Porterville, CA Schedule: M-F 5:30am - 2:00pm (paid 1 hour lunch) A per diem (on-call/as needed) employee may be filling in for a sick or vacationing worker or fulfilling a seasonal need. Essential Job Functions: Provides counseling and case management services to patients in substance abuse treatment program Conducts individual initial assessment and evaluation interviews for service eligibility determination Facilitates intakes or assist with intake process Facilitates, establishes and reviews with each patient the initial treatment plan Respond, as needed, to patient grievances and complaints Other related duties as determined by supervisor Qualifications | Education | Certifications: Registered Substance Abuse Counselor in CA. Certified a plus. Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals a plus.
