Job Description We are looking for a dedicated psychiatrist to join our team at our Stow and Medina offices! Scheduled work hours : The position is considered exempt, not eligible for overtime pay. Normal agency business hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday with evening hours for appointments and/or meetings as needed. From time-to-time, however, the work situation may require an employee to expend an amount of time in excess of the normal workweek. Supervises: Clinically supervises all Med-Som staff Competencies: All AGENCY positions are expected to demonstrate competency in the areas of 1) Confidentiality; 2) Cultural Sensitivity; 3) Universal Precautions and 4) Client Rights. Additional competency standards may be required for each position based on the annual plan. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/JOB DESCRIPTION To provide the highest standard of professional clinical care to all patients regardless of race, religion, creed or socioeconomic group and consistent with the standards established by the National Council of Quality Assurance Recommend therapy if needed To provide empathetic care consistent with the standards and reputation of the practice. To assist the marketing team when necessary in the active recruitment of patients. Write prescriptions for medications Employee must check emails on a daily basis Prepare patient documentation and save it to the computer Provide telephone patient and professional consultations and education, telephone triage and advice To maintain a medical license and DEA license in the State of Ohio Perform all other assigned duties for the position Take call after hours Promote Safety and Quality Care throughout department and agency Must be willing to travel between offices to see clients *Addiction experience as well as suboxone certification preferred Job Type: Full-time Company Description Charak Center is a large outpatient community mental health agency with five offices throughout Northeast Ohio.
