Job Description San Jose Behavioral Health currently has an opportunity for a Therapist/Social Worker, at our new 80 bed Acute Psychiatric Hospital, located South San Jose, CA. At San Jose Behavioral Health, our counseling professionals provide treatment and support to assist clients in their recovery from behavioral problems and assist with modifying problem behaviors; may also provide counseling services to families of clients. Summary: San Jose Behavioral Health is currently seeking a Therapist/Social Worker to join our growing team. The Therapist/Social Worker is responsible for providing both direct and indirect patient care by utilizing counseling skills, social work assessments, high-risk screenings, and age appropriate interventions. The Therapist/Social Worker manages patients to achieve optimal clinical satisfaction outcomes, facilitates timely discharge planning, and provides patients/families with post-acute options for alternative levels of care. Requirements/Qualifications: Ideal candidates must have a Master's degree; and a current California licensure from the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS); or registered as an MFT Intern and/or Associate Social Worker. Preferred experience in a healthcare setting, acute psychiatric hospital experience is strongly preferred.
