You will be working at Farmfield Hospital, which is a large purpose-built medium secure service for adult men 18+ with a forensic background and enduring mental health illnesses such as personality disorder, substance misuse issues and behaviours that challenge.
Reporting directly to the Lead Psychologist, you will be responsible for individual and group interventions, diagnostic and assessments, treatments, MDT working, risk assessments and giving psychological advice to support service users on their road to recovery.
As a Clinical Psychologist, you will have experience working within a psychiatric setting and knowledge in clinical, forensic or counseling psychology as you will carry a complex caseload of service users with risk behaviours, including assessing their needs and designing and delivering specialist psychological treatments to support their care plans.

Your responsibilities:
Participate fully with the multidisciplinary team and ensure that the service users are fully engaged in their care pathway.
To support clinical team working, including both direct interventions and the delivery of staff training programmes.
To support the clinical team and area of service in developing new initiatives and ways of working.
You will have a positive, problem-solving approach and contribute towards the service development initiatives
Carrying out research projects
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
British Psychological Society or a recognised training body qualification
Registration with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist and Charterable status with the British Psychological Society.
Knowledge of risk assessments, including HCR-20
Experience of providing specialist assessments and interventions
Experience using CBT, DBT or ACT
